It's incredibly satisfying having someone say "I'm terrible with photos" or "I don't have a good side" and then seeing their face when they receive their beautiful portrait. You do have a great side and it comes out when you're comfortable and in your element. One of my tricks is simply playing the music that you love or talking about the subject that your'e passionate about... you won't even notice but your face and expressions change instantly.
